## Livestream Key Points & Simple Reminders
- ∴
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
- ∴
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-

## Attention Is the Control Surface of a Life
*In this part of the broadcast I was showing people that perception is built rather than received, so I taught it through the loops that form between what a person looks at and what they then see everywhere. The mechanism underneath is this.*
+Attention is the aperture through which every environment reaches a mind, which makes it the one point where a whole life can be steered by a small intervention. The loop is short and closes quickly: attention selects material, the selected material shapes expectation, expectation determines what registers as relevant on the next pass, and relevance directs attention again. Four turns of that loop and a person is living in a filtered world that confirms itself, having never made a decision they would recognize as a decision.
The leverage runs in both directions, and that is the usable part. Because the loop amplifies whatever enters it, a deliberately chosen input compounds as reliably as an imposed one, and a small change in what a person puts in front of themselves daily produces a disproportionate change in what the world appears to contain within a season. Salience engineering is the name for the deliberate shaping of prominence, practiced on populations by anyone who builds an interface and available to an individual as a private discipline.
