# Trust Your Instincts About Normal Healthy Ordered Living by Stephen Miller > "Trust your instincts to all people and across all civilizations. You know what normal is. You know what beautiful is. You know what good is. You know that families are right. You know that children are precious and beautiful and must be protected. You know that the criminal and the junkie and the predator is a threat to normal, healthy living. [The conflict over political terrorism is] so much deeper than issues about taxation and regulation, although they're incredibly important. It's about normal, healthy, ordered living." > **— Stephen Miller**, *Ministerial on the Resurgence of Political Terrorism, July 16, 2026* ## Sources and Context - **Direct transcript:** [U.S. Department of State, Remarks at the Opening of the Ministerial on the Resurgence of Political Terrorism](https://www.state.gov/releases/office-of-the-spokesman/2026/07/remarks-at-the-opening-of-the-ministerial-on-the-resurgence-of-political-terrorism/), Stephen Miller remarks. - **Source dossier:** [[research/Ministerial on the Resurgence of Political Terrorism|Ministerial on the Resurgence of Political Terrorism]]. - **Exact closing source:** “This so much deeper than issues about taxation and regulation, although they're incredibly important. It's about normal, healthy, ordered living.” - **Editorial treatment:** The expanded Reminder preserves the complete paragraph. The bracket replaces the context-dependent and grammatically incomplete “This” with the address's governing subject and supplies the missing spoken “is”; the surrounding language remains contiguous and unaltered. - **Context:** This is the larger version of Miller's shorter Reminder about families, children, and ordered living. It retains the civilizational frame, the persons and conditions he calls threatening, and his contrast with ordinary tax and regulatory politics. ## Related Articles and Collections - **Collection:** [[collections/Simple Reminders|Simple Reminders]] - **Collection:** [[collections/Terrorism, Counterterrorism, and the Intelligence Environment|Terrorism, Counterterrorism, and the Intelligence Environment]] - **Collection:** [[collections/American|American Culture Collection]] - **Companion Reminder:** [[reminders/Civilization/Children Are Precious and Must Be Protected by Stephen Miller|Children Are Precious and Must Be Protected]] ## Related Topics - [[wiki/Stephen Miller|Stephen Miller]] - [[wiki/Civilization|Civilization]] - [[wiki/Ministerial on the Resurgence of Political Terrorism|Ministerial on the Resurgence of Political Terrorism]] ## Share on Social Media ``` "Trust your instincts to all people and across all civilizations.
